British comedian John Bishop has joined forces with animal rights charity PETA to support National Vegetarian Week, launched on Monday.
He's the face of the charity's new billboard campaign encouraging a meat-free lifestyle, appearing with three chicks on his shoulder under the caption 'Chicks Love A Vegetarian!'. Bishop, who became a vegetarian in 1985 after seeing a cow being slaughtered, credits his diet with keeping him in good phsyical condition, and joins a list of celebrities including Leona Lewis and Sir Paul McCartney heralding the lifestyle change.
